Our Guarantees
Before you pay, you should know exactly what you are buying. This page lists what MYLegalTrans guarantees on every order, and what we cannot guarantee because someone else decides it, such as a ministry, an embassy or a courier.
What we guarantee
1. The price in your quotation is the price you pay
We review the softcopy of your documents and send an official quotation, usually within 15 minutes. It shows one overall total, and that total is final for the documents and services quoted. Government and embassy fees are already included. There are no hidden fees, and nothing is added after you pay. If you later add documents or services, we send a new quotation before any extra work starts.
2. The work we control is ready on time
Turnaround starts when we receive your payment receipt.
Certified translation: within 24 hours, including large orders below 300 pages.
Notarisation: within 1 business day.
Steps at a ministry or embassy: we submit at the first opportunity. We are never the bottleneck.
3. Accepted translations, or a free re-do
Every certified translation is translated, reviewed, formatted to mirror the original and given a final review before it is certified. We certify it to the requirements of the authority you name, using translators accredited by ITBM, DBP, the Malaysian Translators Association (MTA) or NAATI, or Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak High Court interpreters, as that authority requires.
If an authority rejects a certified translation we prepared within 30 days of delivery, we re-do it free.
4. We fix what an office asks us to fix
When we represent you at the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education or Wisma Putra and the office asks for changes before it will accept a document, we make the amendments and resubmit as part of the service. If an office refuses a document outright, we explain why and what your options are.
5. Your documents stay confidential from your first message
Our Client Non-Disclosure Agreement is already signed by us. It covers every document you send, including documents sent only for a quotation, even if you never place an order. We never publish client names or use your documents in any marketing.
6. International delivery is charged at cost, with nothing added
Courier delivery is not our expertise, so we do not make money on it. For international delivery, we charge FedEx’s published rate from Kuala Lumpur to the capital city of the destination country, exactly as shown by FedEx Malaysia’s rate tool. We add nothing on top, and you can check the figure yourself. Delivery within Malaysia is a flat fee of RM15.90.
7. Safe payment and an official invoice
Pay by bank transfer only into the company account named in your quotation, in the name of MYLEGALTRANS CERTIFIED WORLDWIDE PLT. We never ask you to pay into a personal account. Payment is 100% upfront, in one go; we do not take deposits or split payments.
For quotations above RM1,000, we also send an Apple Pay and credit card payment link.
On request, we issue an official PDF invoice within 24 hours of receiving your payment receipt.
8. If an authority blocks the job, you get the unused part back
If an authority refuses to process your case through us after you have paid, for example because it insists that the applicant attends in person, we explain why, return your original documents and refund the part of the order we have not done.
What we cannot guarantee
These depend on others. No agent, including us, can promise them.
Decisions by authorities. Ministries, embassies and receiving offices decide whether to accept a document, and their requirements can change without notice. We prepare every document to their current requirements, and our free re-do covers a rejected translation, but the decision is theirs.
Processing times at ministries and embassies. The turnaround in your quotation for these steps is an estimate based on their usual times, for example 4 business days for MOHE, Ministry of Education, Wisma Putra or DBP steps, and about 8 business days with embassy legalisation. Each office sets its own schedule, closures and public holidays.
Courier transit and customs. Once the courier collects your documents, transit times and customs clearance are set by the courier and the destination’s customs authority.
The content of your original documents. We translate exactly what your document says. If the original has an error, such as a misspelt name or a wrong date, only the office that issued it can correct it. If we spot something that looks wrong, we tell you.
Documents we have not seen. Quotations are based on the softcopy you send. If the originals differ, for example more pages or a different document, we send a revised quotation before going further.
Documents only the issuer can authenticate. A few institutions authenticate their documents only for the holder directly and will not deal with any agent. When we know that applies, we tell you before you pay.
The outcome of your application. We do not guarantee the result of the application you use the documents for, such as a visa, residence permit, university admission, marriage registration or court case. That decision rests with the authority.
